Faithful Friends is dedicated to one simple but powerful idea: consistent relationships can change the trajectory of a child’s life.

The organization matches volunteer mentors—individuals, couples, or families—with children between the ages of 6 and 9. These mentor-mentee pairs meet several times each month and commit to spending at least a year together, building trust through shared, everyday experiences.

It’s not about grand gestures. It’s about showing up. Whether it’s grabbing a meal, attending a local event, or just spending time together, mentors become a steady, reliable presence—something many of these children have never consistently had.

Supporting Those Who Need It Most

The children served by Faithful Friends often face significant life challenges at a young age.

A large majority come from households navigating financial hardship, with many qualifying for free or reduced lunch programs. Others are growing up in single-parent homes or have experienced instability tied to incarceration, foster care, or even homelessness.

These difficult realities can shape how a child sees the world, and that’s where mentorship can become transformational.

By creating stable, supportive relationships early in life, Faithful Friends helps children build confidence, develop trust, and experience a sense of belonging that can carry forward in their lives as they continue to grow.
