Terry brings noteworthy experience and expertise in executive sales consulting to serve businesses in the Grand Rapids, Michigan area. He is an accomplished sales leadership executive with proven results helping businesses optimize revenue.
The Founder and Principal of Breakwater Partners, LLC, a sales consulting firm, Terry applies 35 years of proven sales, sales management, and “C” level experience to help companies maximize their growth potential through strategic selling solutions. As a VP of Sales, he has led domestic and international teams ranging from 5 to over 150 sales professionals, with annual revenues ranging from $5M to more than $500M.
Terry is a customer-focused leader with a record of developing sales teams by helping leaders understand how to identify opportunities to grow their businesses. He has experience developing and implementing strategic plans including optimizing go-to-market strategies, pioneering new sales and distribution channels, new product introductions and aligning compensation plans with company objectives. Terry helps organizations develop successful sales plans to position their sales teams for long-term success.
Now, as an outsourced Grand Rapids-area sales consultant and licensed Sales Xceleration Advisor, Terry will leverage the power of Sales Xceleration’s proven sales growth and sales management systems to help small and medium-sized businesses increase sales and boost profits for sustainable sales performance.
Terry has a BA in English from John Carroll University, and an MBA from the University of Michigan. He resides in Ludington, Michigan and Indianapolis, Indiana with his wife, Gay, and son, Michael. In his free time, Terry enjoys reading, golf and volunteering with not-for-profit organizations.
