With more than 30 years of experience as a sales leader, front-line manager and individual contributor, he has a strong track record of delivering accelerated revenue growth and profitability in start-up, private, and public companies. Matt has helped companies build and transform both direct- and channel-sales organizations with intensity, enthusiasm and hands-on coaching. Matt’s philosophy is based on accountability, transparency, integrity and trust while focusing on people, process and plans aligned with the client’s goals.
Matt began his career at IBM as an individual contributor where he rose up quickly through the ranks. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to several small and mid-size companies with revenue responsibilities spanning from $5M to over $200M annually. These diverse experiences, together with Matt’s insight, resourcefulness and empathy, empower his clients to overachieve revenue goals. Matt has always led from the front lines and is a customer-facing leader who develops talent by demonstrating real-world skills.
Now, as an outsourced Chicago-area sales consultant and licensed Sales Xceleration Advisor, Matt will leverage the power of Sales Xceleration’s proven sales growth and sales management systems to help small and medium-sized businesses increase sales and boost profits for sustainable sales performance.
Matt earned a BA in Economics from Washington University in St. Louis. He resides in Chicago with his wife and has two adult children. In his spare time, Matt enjoys skiing, travel and the Chicago Cubs.
